Sustainability
What we actually do, and what we do not.Updated May 20, 2026
This page describes what we do. It is not a statement of ambition. Where something is unresolved we have said so rather than leaving it out.We do not currently have a take-back or resale programme, our shipping is not carbon-neutral beyond the carriers' own offsetting, and the elastane in the mesh and track fabrics makes those pieces effectively unrecyclable at end of life.
Materials
- All cotton fleece and jersey is grown and spun within the EU
- Technical shells use 100% recycled polyester with a PFC-free DWR finish
- Merino is mulesing-free and traceable to farm group level
- Denim is woven in Japan on shuttle looms — not recycled content, and we have not found an acceptable recycled equivalent at 13oz
Factories
We work with four factories. Three are in Portugal and audited annually to SA8000. One is in Vietnam, audited to SMETA 4-pillar. We publish the audit dates in the annual review and will send the summaries on request.Packaging
- Mailers are 100% recycled LDPE and recyclable where soft plastic collection exists
- No tissue paper, no cards, no stickers — none of it survives the walk to the bin
- Hangtags are uncoated recycled board attached with cotton thread rather than plastic
Repairs
We repair anything we made, at cost, indefinitely. Send it in and we will quote before starting. Zips, cuffs, pocket bags and blown seams are the common ones. Re-waxing the chore jacket is free for the first two years.Unresolved
